Rare HEISEY KALONYAL PUNCH BOWL with base #1776

This elegant round punch bowl by Heisey is a rare find for any collector. The bowl is made of clear glass and features a beautiful Kalonyal #1776 pattern. It comes with a matching base and is handmade with impressive attention to detail. The bowl is 6.5 inches deep and 12.5 inches wide, with a diameter of 12.5 inches.

The care instructions are to hand wash only. This remarkable piece is a must-have for any vintage lover. The punch bowl has a small chip at the rim of the base which is not noticeable when the bowl is on the base or flat on the table. The base has a small bubble in the glass typical of handmade glass. The rare pattern was names Kalonyal (No 1776) by the A. Heisey Company is a recreation of colonial era glass designs. Such recreations were very popular at the turn of the century. Kalonyal was produced for only one year, 1904, then it was discontinued. Its simple elegance makes it very popular with collectors but is a rare pattern and difficult to find. Few punch bowls were produced and even fewer have survived intact for 120 years.
