RARE ANTIQUE ANGLO IRISH CUT GLASS GOTHIC REVIVAL PUNCH BOWL/ CENTERPIECE c1840

Offered is an estate fresh exceedingly rare antique 19th century Anglo-Irish cut glass large centerpiece bowl or punch bowl & stand, circa 1840-60. The color and quality of the glass is breathtaking. Heavy weight and musical ring when tapped. In the Gothic Revival taste, with heavily cut decoration featuring pointed arches and scalloped rim & foot. Please read condition and review photos as part of the description. Dimensions: 12 tall overall on stand. Bowl alone: 7 X 13 diameter.

Condition: This bowl is in remarkably fine condition, with no cracks or noticeable chips there are a few microscopic flea bite nicks, well hidden by the decoration, you'd really have to inspect it with a magnifying glass to locate them. Minor surface scratching on interior bottom (from silver ladles, naturally) and where base fits to stand - as one would expect from a 170+ year old fine glass article.
