Breathtaking sparkling American Brilliant Period Cut Glass Punch Bowl and matching Stand (2-piece). Even with much research I have not been able find the pattern name or locate maker's mark. This is a rarer globe shaped piece and features intricately cut 24 pt large hobstars that completely fill the diamond shapes (someone suggested this as a unique Clark technique). The stand features a swirled collar at the top.
The bowl has a hobstar on the bottom plug with fits securely into the stand. The immense concave sunbursts are a rarity. The bowl and stand are heavy and thick and combined weight is 19 lb bottom weighs 4 lb.
And the bowl weighs 15lb. The total height is 12 1/2" tall and the approx diameter of the bowl is 12". The condition of the piece is crystal clear with a long bell ring when tapped. There is one damaged tooth (see closeup photo). And only one fleabite that I find. There are some typical scratches on the bowl interior bottom from use. This piece is in excellent condition for age.
