Large Fenton Carnival Glass Wreath Of Roses Punch Bowl & Base Dark Marigold
A vintage FENTON WREATH OF ROSES DARK MARIGOLD CARNIVAL GLASS punch bowl and base. The color is lush dark marigold with electric highlights as seen in the photographs. The mold is outstanding with the relief leaves and flowers very sharp. This combination lends to a striking coloration that is shown in the photographs. This is the standard size set as described in Edwards Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass. The set is mint, no surprises here. Is in mint condition for being about 100 years old. No chips, cracks, dings and the bottom is perfect. I can only spot two small interior glass bubbles and a couple of minor and I do mean minor straw marks.
The measurements are 6 ½ inches wide at the bottom and 5 ½ inches in height. The top measurement is approximately 5 ¼ inches. As seen in the photos, the points are perfect and the bowl is perfect with no chips, flakes or dings. The only flaw is some minor and I do mean minor glass bubbles on the bottom which is typical for these old carnival glass items. They do not show and dont let my overly cautious description lead you to believe that the piece is anything but beautiful.
Obviously the bowl displays well on the base but I will let you decide. The bowl measures approximately 7 inches high and is approximately 12 inches wide at the top.
If you are looking for a Fenton show piece at a great price, consider this one, you will not be disappointed. We are downsizing due to our age and you can take this one home for a bargain.
