KINGS CROWN 16 PUNCH BOWL With 7.5 BASE & 12 PUNCH CUPS, CRANBERRY FLASH ON TOPS

IMAGINE THIS GORGEOUS SET ON THE SERVING TABLE AT YOUR SUMMER WEDDING OR OTHER CELEBRATION - A GREAT WAY TO MAKE A STATEMENT! This listing is for a KINGS CROWN 16 PUNCH BOWL, PUNCH BOWL BASE, AND 12 PUNCH CUPS which has CRANBERRY FLASHING (ON THE TOPS ONLY), AND WAS MADE BY THE TIFFIN GLASS COMPANY in the 1940's! The punch bowl measures 16 inches across by 7.5 inches in height. The base measures 6 1/2 inches tall, and adds more height to the bowl - use the bowl with or without the base.

The punch bowl has one slight, thin scratch in the cranberry-colored flashing which measures about 1 inch long (see photos #7-#10). Photo #7 shows how faint the thin scratch appears without a close-up photo - it is just to the right of the top of the measuring tape. The bowl also has a few bubbles (very common in Depression-era glassware) and "straw marks" - the largest of which can be seen in photos #7-#11. At the top of the "rim" of the clear glass directly underneath the cranberry flashing, there is a "straw mark" about 1.5 to 2.0 inches right of the thin scratch (seen in photos #7 and #11).

This straw mark also resulted in an area of uneven pouring of the cranberry-colored flashing in this area (seen to the right of the tape measure in photos #7-#11). This area is not nearly as noticeable in photos #8 - #10 which are not close-up photos (see further description below).

Upon closer inspection, you realize it is an impressed line in the glass that was from manufacture. It is easy to tell as they are not extremely deep; do not penetrate the glass; are located on only one side of the glass; are typically irregular in shape; and vary from piece to piece. The straw mark is in a seam of the glass, and is not real noticeable (see photos #10 to #12). It is located directly beneath the cranberry flashing and is "hidden in the shadow" of the cranberry color.

Also in this area (about one inch to the LEFT of the thin scratch) is a small chip which measures a bit less than 3/16 of an inch in length (please see photos #9-#12). As the chip is in close proximity to the thin scratch, it would be very easy to camouflage this area by merely turning the bowl one quarter turn (one-fourth of the way around) to either side. One punch cup (please see photo #7) has lost a bit of its cranberry-colored flashing but is still in excellent condition. The cup displays very nicely (please see photo #8 where it is displayed in the front-center spot).
