Huge American Brilliant Period ABP Classically Cut Glass Punch Bowl. Presented is a stupendous American brilliant cut glass punch bowl. This bowl is simply magnificent. It has cuts resembling fans over much of the surface.
It has long lines that flow smoothly from the center to the edge. The top edge of the bowl has a sawtooth finish. We have been told that T. His punch bowl is in the "Elegance" pattern - patented by J. Bergen & Co of Meriden, CT in 1895.Please do decide for yourself, thank you! The bowl is not marked, but based on the quality of the craftsmanship and the style it is likely one of the aforementioned makers. There are some minor signs of wear to the major contact points and there are several tiny fleabites on various parts of the piece. These are shown in the photos and are insignificant. The photographs are close ups of the very small flaws, when you look at the overall piece it is virtually impossible to make out these flaws.
There are no cracks, no breaks, no repairs, and no other problems of any kind. The bowl is 6 3/4 inches tall. The bowl is 12 inches in diameter.
