FENTON ORANGE TREE CARNIVAL BLUE PUNCH BOWL & BASE With SPECTACULAR IRIDESCENCE
FENTON ORANGE TREE CARNIVAL BLUE PUNCH BOWL AND BASE WITH SPECTACULAR IRIDESCENCE. Before moving to NC, I lived in upstate NY in the same town as the man who I considered the leading Carnival Glass auctioneer in the country and who has forgotten more about this glass than most of us will ever know. Unfortunately, we moved too soon and there is a lot more that I dont know, than I do. One of the things that I did learn was that color and condition, especially when there is a lack of rarity, are of PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE. When you see one of my listings, you can be sure that you are getting a piece that is exactly as pictured and described. The bowl measures 10 ¾ in diameter, 8 deep and a tad over 2 3/8 across its collar base. It has beautiful multi-hued iridescence of rose, gold and electric blue on both the interior and exterior surfaces, plus the interior has an overall stretch appearance that is quite desirable.
The base measures 3 ¼ across the top, 5 ½ across the base and a tad under 4 ¾ tall. The gold, rose and electric blue iridescence on this base is SPECTACULAR!! This base is one of, if not the nicest example that I have seen as it has an amazing RADIUM-LIKE surface that looks more like a Millersburg than a Fenton product. Just the base no bowl included.
As best I can see, both pieces are in virtually MINT condition. With ABSOLUTELY no chips, cracks, fleas, damage or repairs. I will mention that there are some Oranges on the bowl where the mold did not fill completely. It is AS MADE and is not damage.
