This is a gorgeous and extremely rare Mid-Century Modern punch bowl set with punch bowl, platter, and ten cups. When I say it's rare, I really mean it. I've not seen another one like it, and believe me, I have looked. I bought it from an estate sale about 25 years ago. The style is definitely mid-century modern with its straight-handled cups. It's high quality with very thick and heavy glass and polished bases. The bowl stands 7" tall and is 12 1/2" in diameter. By itself, it weighs almost 7 pounds.

The platter is a large 18 in diameter and weighs 7 pounds. The cups are what make this set truly unique. They have straight handles, unlike the usual rounded or curved handles.

Each cup stands 2 1/2 tall and is 3" in diameter with another 2 3/8" long handle. The set is in beautiful condition. There is one small 1/4 relatively flat chip on the bottom base of the platter which is not visible from the top. One of the cups has a rough place on its bottom which I believe to be a factory blemish. I don't think it's a chip, but it was not completely flat and smooth as the others were.

Again, it's not visible unless you are looking and feeling for it. The ladle is plastic, and I think it takes away from the set, but it came with the set when I bought it used 25 years ago. However, I can't be sure it was original to the set.

It measures about 13 in length. The plastic is cloudy and has smudged worn areas on it. It's very heavy, about 25 pounds without packaging.

I will probably have to go with Fed Ex Ground. Thank you for your consideration of this beautiful set.
