Antique Republic Chinese Large Turquoise Peking Glass Punch Bowl early 20th C

A very large, heavy, colorful antique Peking glass bowl with a. Large round slightly everted rim and a short foot that shows no mold lines.

It might have been intended as a punchbowl due to its large size. The mouth rim and the foot show having been carved. The bowl rests flat on a surface but the foot shows an unevenness from the manual carving. The bowl is very heavy shows much age, such as bubbles, pimples, light spots, flow lines, and some bumps.

11 (27.9 cm) diameter x 4 ½ (11.4 cm) tall. Weight 4 lb 4.3 oz (1935 g). There are no cracks, chips or breaks.

There is considerable wear to the foot and base from being slide on surfaces for many years. There are wear scratches on the inside of the bowl as well. A great work of art from the Chinese Republic era. This bowl would even feel at home in a mid -century home décor because of its simplicity, size and cool color. This is a large eye catching bowl to be treasured.
