AMAZING c1900 ART NOUVEAU ORIVIT PEWTER CAMEO CUT GLASS FIGURAL PUNCH BOWL WMF. RARE EXMPLE BY ORIVIT OF GERMANY WHO BECAME PART OF WMF. Listed this week is an Incredible collection of Antique Sterling Silver and Silver Plate, Fine Pottery & Porcelains including Sevres, Several Dinner Services as well as a large estate collection of Early 19th Century Porcelain. Also listed is many fine examples of Cut and Art Glass plus other fine Estate Treasures. This will be our final Silver and Estate Treasures Sale until September.

The Punch Bowl is one of the finest examples I have ever personally seen featuring amazing Art Nouveau Figural Man and Maiden Handles with great Nouveau Period designs throughout to the Pewter frame and a superbly Cut Cameo Glass Bowl. The Pewter frame is not marked Orivit, but there is no mistaking the work for any other company and the Bowl is original to the frame and signed Orivit as well. I did some quick research on Orivit and could not find another Glass example signed by them, so I believe this is a very Rare find indeed and possibly a specially commissioned piece or made for the 1900 Paris World's Fair. The Glass Bowl features superb Cameo Cut designs of Grapes and Grape Leaves, much nicer than my photos show. The Punch Bowl is in very good condition for the age, there is one small break in the frame that could easily be repaired and evidence of one other crack having been soldered in the past.

The Glass itself is in amazing condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The Frame has Georgian Sterling Hallmarks on the bottom, I presume someone in the past possibly tried to pass it off as something it is not. The Punch Bowl is an impressive large size measuring 12 inches tall by 13-1/2 inches wide across the handles or the Bowl itself measures 9-1/2 inches wide by 8 inches tall. I doubt many examples like this were ever made and if you are a Orivit or WMF collector you may never have the chance to acquire a piece like this again, don't miss out!
